Emily Buccino

Emily Elizabeth (Strong) Buccino, 93, beloved wife of the late Daniel Albert Buccino, passed away on December 5, 2020. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Ernest Strong and Ruth (Collins) Strong. She was raised in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School in 1945. She went on to Hillyer Junior College and graduated in 1947. While going to college, she met her soulmate and they married in 1947. They built their dream home in Bolton and moved there with their growing family in 1952. Emily worked for a Bolton contractor and then at the Bolton Veterinary Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Bolton Congregational Church and the Bolton Senior Center. Her and Dan loved to travel during their years together. Emily is survived by two daughtersLinda Buccino of Manchester and Carol Buccino of Southbury, and a grandson Joshua Buccino of Middletown. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home is handling arrangements. There will be no calling hours, and the burial will be private, as Emily desired.
