Ella O. Hube

Ella (Ortolani) Hube, 74, of Manchester, loving wife for over 50 years of Arthur R. Hube Jr. passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, March 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with ALS. Ella was born in Hartford on January 24, 1944 and was a lifelong Manchester resident. Prior to her retirement in 2000, she was employed as an Executive Secretary with UTC for over 37 years. Ella was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Manchester. She was an avid UConn Women's Basketball fan and she enjoyed her trips to the casino. Her greatest love was her family and she adored spending time with her nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her beloved husband Art, she leaves her two sisters-in-law, Angie Wandzy and her husband Ken of Ellington and Barbara Kjellberg and her husband Carl of Raleigh, NC; her three nephews, Eric Kjellberg, Steven Kjellberg and his wife Julie, and Todd Ortolani and his partner Theresa Denis; two nieces, Karel Ortolani and her partner Justin Reed, Christine Kjellberg and her husband Rick Matthews; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews. Ella was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth (Adams) Ortolani, and her brother, John Ortolani. A memorial service will be celebrated at Concordia Lutheran Church, 40 Pitkin St. in Manchester on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am. There are no calling hours.
