Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Trotter) Paiva, 79, of Coventry and formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Paiva, died unexpectedly, Monday July 6, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Betty was born June 24, 1939 in Manchester, daughter of the late John A. & Sara Viola (Greenway) Trotter, she attended local schools graduating from Manchester High School and went on to attend Bates College in Maine. Betty had worked for the Travelers Insurance Co., Shaws Supermarkets and retired as a Bank Teller with the former Savings Bank of Manchester at the Coventry Branch. She was a Friend of Bill W. for 40 years and had been involved with Girl Scouts in her youth where she developed friendships that have lasted throughout her life. Mrs. Paiva is survived by four children, Debra A. Wolmer, David B. Wolmer and his wife Karen all of Hampton, CT., Diane C. Norris and her husband John of Glenburn, ME. and Donalyn D Maneggia and her husband Peter of Andover. She was a proud grandmother of six, David McNickle, Kyle Wolmer, Erin Norris, Nathan Norris, Alexander Maneggia and Mckenzie Maneggia and enjoyed spending time with them and watching them grow up. Funeral services will be held Friday July 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
