Elizabeth J. Krob

Elizabeth J. "Bette" (White) Krob, 88, of Manchester, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Allan C. Krob Sr. peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18, 1926 in Meriden, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Buettner) White. Bette was a member of the USO during WW II. She was a longtime member of South United Methodist Church in Manchester. Bette was a member of the former Nathan Hale School P.T.A. and a member of the Manchester Midget Football Auxiliary. She is survived by her three children, Diane K. Waskiewicz and her husband Daniel of Tolland, Allen C. "Skip" Krob Jr. and his wife Linda of Manchester and Mark R. Krob and his wife Lynn of Wethersfield, her four loving grandchildren; Jeffery Schaller and his wife, Desiree, Jeremy Krob and his wife, Michelle, Caitlin Krob and Penny Duetz and Jim Dowling, five great-grandchildren, Briana, Mia, and Nicolas Schaller and Matthew and Miles Krob, her sister-in-law, Elaine Curia of Naples, FL, several nieces and nephews and her best friends Doug and Joan. In addition to her husband and parents Bette was predeceased by her granddaughter, Heather Schaller and her sister, Eileen White. Bette's family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers; Marge, Julie, Diana and Karen. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2-4 pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
