Elizabeth “Beth” Daoust, 75, of Coventry, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Born on September 8, 1950, in Manchester, Connecticut, Beth was the daughter of Everett Cone and Elsie (Demko) Cone. She grew up in Manchester alongside her twin sister, Sharon Valley, and her younger brother, Jeffrey Cone, and graduated from Manchester High School in 1968.
Beth went on to attend the Art Institute of Boston, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree and, most importantly, met the love of her life, Jocelyn Daoust. The two shared 55 years together and celebrated 53 years of marriage—a partnership filled with humor, devotion, and unwavering companionship.
True to her roots in the 1960s, Beth embraced the era’s free-spirited culture and remained an “original hippie” throughout her life. She was known for her vibrant wardrobe, her artistic sensibilities, and her steadfast support of the Democratic Party.
Beth began her career as a printing press operator, later transitioning into a successful career as a real estate agent. Her creativity and passion for craftsmanship were evident in her extensive art collection, which included pottery, prints, and mission-style copper plates.
For 53 years, Beth made her home in Coventry, Connecticut, where she and Jocelyn built a warm, welcoming life filled with family, creativity, and the companionship of eight beloved dogs over the years. Her animals brought her joy and were a constant and cherished part of her world.
She leaves behind her daughter, Chelsie Daoust, and son-in-law Richard Salzarulo; her twin sister, Sharon Valley; her brother Jeffrey Cone and his wife Maureen; as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Beth will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, humor, and unmistakable style. She leaves behind a legacy of love, individuality, and a life lived unapologetically and beautifully. There will be no services at this time. To leave an online condolence please visit www.holmeswatkins.com
