Elizabeth Agnes "Betty" (Wilke) Everett, 79, of Manchester wife of the late Earle Everett died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Manchester daughter of the late Frederick and Irene (Anderson) Wilke. She is survived by her three daughters; Bette-ann Boiardi of Vernon and her children; Troy Steele and Alexander Boiardi, Debra Jackman of Vernon and her children; Inmaculada and Justine Jackman and Sandra Nevins and her husband Thomas of Hebron and their children; Sarah Nevins, Thomas Nevins Jr. and James Noyes III and three great-grandchildren. Betty also leaves her sister Mary Ann Lathrop of Windham, ME, her sisters-in-law Mona Wilke of Manchester and Flora Gerber of Arizona, a brother-in-law John Everett and his wife Cathy Everett of Washington and many nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents Betty was predeceased by her brother Thomas Wilke. Betty was a longtime parishioner of St. Bridget Church. She was a dedicated RN working for Manchester Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. Betty worked in the OR where she developed many lasting friendships and earned the respect of all her co-workers. She enjoyed cooking, especially her famous Christmas cookies, cake decorating, crocheting, quilting, QVC shopping and reading. Betty loved spending holidays and quality time with her family and friends. She will make her journey with her special 4-legged friend and companion of many years Kimmy. She loved and appreciated her times with her special niece and honorary daughter, Maureen Ogrean. A special thanks to Sarah and Trevor and Thomas and Brianna for taking care of Kimmy and her home during her hospital stays. Extra special thanks from her family to Vernon DaVita nurses whom she considered her second family. Calling hours will be on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4-7pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
