Eleanore B. (Komosinski) Wojnarowski 82 of Manchester, beloved wife of John Wojnarowski passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 with her family at her side at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Eleanore was born in Yonkers, NY on December 1, 1934, daughter of the late Anthony and Katherine (Szczepanik)Komosinski and has resided in Manchester since 1964. She was employed by the Manchester Board of Education for 23 years before retiring as Cafeteria Manager at Illing Jr. High School. She was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Church. Eleanore kept her sense of humor to the very end. She was the secretary of The Daughters of Isabella for many years. She was known as the hat lady when she worked at Illing and looked forward to her weekly Thursday night get together for "Metamucil cocktails and dessert du jour" with her good friend Joan. In addition to her beloved husband John, Eleanore is survived by her loving family, Susan M. Wojnarowski of Manchester, Kenneth J. and his wife Susan J. Wojnarowski of Manchester, Karen A. Wojnarowski of East Hampton, David J. Wojnarowski of Manchester, Patricia A. Wojnarowski of Los Alamitos, CA, three grandchildren, Shawn M. Wojnarowski, Adam D. Wojnarowski, Emma H. Wojnarowski, a sister, Florence Brennan, two brothers, Bernard Komosinski, John Komosinski and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. The family thanks all of those who cared for her. Family and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours, Friday, February 3, 2017 from 5-7 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main Street Manchester. Eleanore requests everyone to wear bright colors instead of traditional black. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Bartholomew Church 45 Ludlow Road Manchester.
