Eleanor F. Woodward, 93, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1922 in Buckland, MA daughter of the late George and Serena (Townsend) Woodward. Eleanor was raised in Ellington, attended local schools and had lived most of her life in Vernon and Manchester. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress for the former Pioneer Parachute for many years. Eleanor loved life and was always a go-getter. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her two nieces; Rose Lovett and her husband Bob of Manchester and Sharon Bieu and her husband Ron of Deland, FL. her nephew, Raymond Belanger of Manchester, her two grandnieces; Michelle Lovett and Jennifer Lovett both of Manchester, her grandnephew, Rob Lovett and his wife, Diane of Vernon and other family members including Mary Palmer of Manchester. Eleanor's family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver over the last year Fatou Mboob as well as the Visiting Nurse and North Central Hospice of Vernon and the staff of 3rd North at Manchester Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 am in Ellington Center Cemetery, Route 140 Ellington, CT. There are no calling hours.
