Elaine (Demko) Warrington, 84, of Manchester, beloved wife of Arthur E. Warrington passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 after a brief illness. She was born on January 22, 1930 in Manchester, daughter of the late John and Mary (Kupsky) Demko. Elaine attended Nathan Hale School and graduated from Manchester High School, Class of 1948. She had been a lifelong resident of Manchester. She was very active in her children's lives when they were growing up. She was involved with the former Bentley School PTA as well as St. Bridget School and East Catholic High School. In addition to raising her family she helped manage her husband's painting company. She was the caretaker for her mother for over 17 years. Elaine was a longtime member and active in the St. Bridget Church Community. She worked at the yearly church bazaar, volunteered at the school and enjoyed baking for all the church functions. She was an avid gardener and was well known around Manchester for making her homemade seasonal flags that always flew on the front porch of the Warrington home. In addition to her beloved Arthur with whom she just celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on May 7th, she leaves her four children, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and her beloved cat, Gracie. Elaine will be greatly missed by her family and friends. All are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Bridget School, 74 Main St. Manchester, CT 06042.
