Obituary

Eileen Rita Fuller, 91, of Etna Maine and formerly of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away at home on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Born July 2, 1934, in Manchester, Connecticut; she was the daughter of the late Clarence LaChapelle and Ruth (Bennett) LaChapelle. Widow of Robert Fuller. She was raised in Vernon Ct. along with her 9 brothers and 3 sisters. Eileen held fond memories of her close-knit family which included many relatives, countless reunions and get togethers. She was devoted to her Catholic faith.

Eileen attended St Bernards School and Rockville High School. She worked at SNET in Manchester. Starting there as a switchboard operator she made many lasting friendships. Eileen and Bob spent 65 years together. They enjoyed family, traveling, Country Western dancing and casino nights. She spent the last few years on the farm in rural Maine with her daughter enjoying the animals and peaceful life.

She is survived by her children, Robert Jr. of Manchester, Ronald (Rose) of Bolton, Richard of West Hartford, Roger(Lisa) of Springfield Vermont, Rita Hopkins (Danny) of Etna Maine, Rodney (Judy) of Torrington. her cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Robert III.

She is survived by her siblings Teddy, Judy Fuller, Greg. Margaret Yonika, and Fred. Many nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Bendoritis and brothers Jerry ,David ,Dennis . Joey, Clarence and Jackie

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT 06040. A funeral mass will be held the following morning, July 10, 2026, at 10 AM directly at the St. James Church 896 Main St, Manchester, CT. Burial will follow in the East Cemetery.
