Edward John Tomaso

Edward John Tomaso, passed peacefully on Tuesday June 29, 2021. He was born November 15, 1959, in New Jersey and lived most of his life in Manchester, CT. Edward loved his music, from Benny Goodman and big band to Elvis and the Beatles and everything in between. He enjoyed gardening and doing yard work, making everything look gorgeous. He also loved taking care of his mother, Barbara Shackford who he loved dearly. Edward is survived by his mother, Barbara Shackford, his brother Ted Shackford, a nephew Collin Vitukinas, a brother-in-law Jack Vitukinas, and many friends who he has helped, or was helped by, throughout his life. Edward was predeceased by his sister Valerie Johnsen Vitukinas in 2020. A calling hour will be held at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester, CT on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a graveside service to follow at St. James Cemetery, 368 Broad Street, Manchester.
