Edmund Michael Richards

Edmund Michael Richards, otherwise known as Mike, Eddie, or Charge, passed away December 25th with his wife and daughter by his side. Born to Pauline and Edmund Richards in 1948, he grew up in East Hartford, CT and graduated from Penny High School in 1967. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Mike and his wife purchased a home in Manchester where they have resided for over 50 years. He worked most of his career at Kamco in East Hartford, working there over 30 years. Mike is survived by this wife of 53 years, Janice, his daughter Melissa Weaver, son-in-law John Weaver, sister-in-law Gail Horan (Roger), nephew Gregg Horan, niece Carrie Cowles (Dan), great nieces Simone and Ruby Landry, great nephew Silas Cowles, and many other beloved cousins and family members. Mike also leaves 'The Gang,' childhood friends turned life long family; Laraine 'Brance' and late husband Mike Fiereck, Mike and late wife Carolyn 'Tee' Campbell, Christine and Walter White, and Alison and Brynn Welles. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a Veteran's organization of your choice as anyone who knew him would tell you, supporting our Military and Veterans meant everything to him.
