Edith H. Correnti, 92, lifelong resident of Manchester and widow of Maurice P. "Hip" Correnti, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at her home after a long illness.
Edith was born in Hartford on August 4, 1923 and was the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Herlock) Pohl. She was an avid duckpin bowler and was a bowling instructor at her husband's bowling alley, Holiday Lanes in Manchester.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan C. Lisciotti and Gale Correnti, both of Manchester; six grandchildren, Kerry LaCosta, Melissa Podann, Jennifer Maneri, Justin Mendenhall, Lance Lisciotti, and MacKenzie Lisciotti; six great-grandchildren, her sister, Linda Stephenson of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Edith was predeceased by her son, Gary Correnti.
A private graveside service will be held in St. James Cemetery in Manchester. There are no visiting hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
