Earl C. "Buzz" Loveland Jr., 83, of Manchester, beloved husband of Judith A. (Naper) Loveland passed away at home with his family at his side Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Earl was born in Manchester April 2, 1933 son of the late Earl C. and Hazel (Ferrell) Loveland Sr. and was a lifelong resident. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War and he also served in the Army National Guard with the Military Police. He was a musician by trade and loved to entertain at many musical events for more than seventy years. He was a highly skilled drummer who played with many popular jazz bands across the country, including the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He often said that he considered himself fortunate to be able to raise a family with his craft, doing what he loved the most. In addition to his wife Judith, Buzz is survived by three sons, Michael A., Andrew C., Kenneth J., three daughters, Christine A. Cerro, Laura J. Tucci, Jennifer Zearley, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a sister, Fern Scoville, two nieces, and five step-children. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Clare Loveland and their daughter, Teresa O'Leary. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
