Dorothy Anderson

Dorothy M. Anderson, 84, passed away peacefully at Marlborough Healthcare on Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Elsie (Abbott) Anderson Sr. She was employed by Cigna in Bloomfield until her retirement. She was a huge fan of UConn Mens and Womens basketball team and loved the Red Sox. She spent many years creating and selling her beautiful crafts at fairs throughout Manchester. Aside from crafting and crocheting countless afghans you could almost certainly find her working in her garden and making her flower baskets look amazing. She could bring any plant back to life with just a little time and a lot of love. Most of all though, she loved planning family get togethers and baking for her family. She was the main ingredient for a beautiful family and great times that we will treasure forever. Dorothy was predeceased by 3 brothers, William Anderson, Carl Anderson Jr. and Robert Anderson and 1 sister, Barbara Jaworski. She leaves her beloved brother John Anderson of Enfield. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and their children whom all loved her so much. She will be deeply missed by all. There will be a memorial service at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home in Manchester on Monday November 18th, 2019 at 11am followed by a graveside prayer at noon at East Cemetery
