Doris W. Thompson 88 of Manchester, beloved wife of Joseph L. Thompson, passed away peacefully Monday April 18, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Doris was born in Manchester August 31, 1927, Daughter of the late William C. and Hermine (Senkbeil) Wiganowske she had resided in Manchester her entire life. Doris was employed by the Manchester Board of Education for 26 years working as school secretary at the Keeney Street School before retiring in 1991. She was a longtime member of South United Methodist Church and, later, Church of the Living God. In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by two sons, the Rev. Dr. David W. Mullen and his wife, Marsha of Manchester, Jeffrey F. Mullen and his wife, Linda of Manchester, a step-daughter, Donna Cram and her husband, Peter of Weare, NH, a step-son, David L. Thompson and his wife, Georgette of Manchester, nine grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a step-son, Gary A. Thompson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Living God 199 Deming Street Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery Manchester. Family and friends may call Friday, April 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the church and on Saturday April 23 at the church from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Living God in memory of Doris.
