Donald H. Perreault

Donald H. Perreault, 87, of Vernon, CT beloved husband of 64 years to Dolores (Lamoureux) Perreault died peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born on October 21, 1927 in Pascoag, RI son of the late Antonio and Eva Marie (Rousseau) Perreault. Donald was a veteran of WW II having enlisted in 1945 in the US Navy and later served from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War in the US Army. He was employed as a maintenance supervisor for Command Aerospace for fourteen years before working for Heublein Inc. for over 16 years until his retirement in 1989. Donald was a longtime Communicant of St. Bridget Church in Manchester and was a dedicated member of the Resurrection Choir along with his wife. He was on the Roaring Brook Bowling League in Vernon. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting and singing with his family and spending time at Camp Lemora in Thonotosassa, Florida. Donald and Dolores spent many summers in Orland, Maine where they volunteered for the H.O.M.E. program which remodeled homes for the less fortunate. In addition to his wife, Dolores he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Rosie Perreault of Panama City Beach, FL, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Ronald Irmscher of Lebanon, CT and Susan and Robert Muirhead of Manchester, C T, nine loving grandchildren; Christopher, Steven and Kelly Perreault, Eric and Mark Irmscher, Michelle (Irmscher) Farley, and Robert, Jessica and Eleanor Muirhead and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, William Perreault of Moosup and his sister-in-law, Faith Perreault of Harrisville, RI. In addition to his parents Donald was predeceased by his two sisters, Beatrice Bishop and Doris McCarthy and his brother, Robert Perreault. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 31 at 9:30 am at Holmes Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Burial with Military honors will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag, RI.
