Donald H. Krause

Donald H. Krause, 92, of East Hartford, CT, passed peacefully on September 6, 2024 at his residence surrounded by family. Donald was born in Whitewater, WI to the late Henry John and Elizabeth Kyle Bussler. He grew up in Manchester, CT and graduated from Manchester High School in the class of 1952. Upon graduating, Donald entered the United State Army and attained the rank of Private First Class.
After leaving the US Army, Donald returned to Manchester and married Eleanor Krause (Goodale). They settled in Manchester, CT and welcomed the births of their children Robert, Mary Alice, and Lisa.
Donald was a dedicated member of the Pratt & Whitney family for over 35 years. His passions included repairing and riding motorcycles.
Donald is survived by his daughters Mary Alice Fazzino (Angelo) of Wallingford, CT, and Lisa Avery (David) of Enfield, CT; six grandchildren Adelia, Robert, Anthony, Dominique, Amber, and Edward; as well as several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by Eleanor, and their son Robert.
The family will welcome visitors to Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home from 11:30 AM to 12PM. Burial at East Cemetery will take place immediately thereafter with military honors.
