Dolores (Cardoza) Risley, 80 of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Simi Valley, CA, and Manchester, CT, sadly departed with her family and friends by her side on July 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born July 14, 1936 at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard C. Risley, and her parents Anthony Cardoza Sr. and Mary (Camara) Cardoza.
She leaves behind her three loving children and their spouses - Deborah A. Risley-Crimmins of Simi Valley, CA, Bernard J. Risley and Darlene McGill of Safety Harbor, FL, and Victoria L. Risley-Ellias and Terry Ellias of Clearwater, FL; her two grandchildren and their spouses, Ashley Risley of Tampa, FL, and Derek and Christine (Noble) Crimmins of Manchester, CT who she was ever so proud of and loved dearly; her three great-grandchildren, Camille, Elise, and Marlon who she loved so much. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert Cardoza and Anthony Cardoza, Jr., and is survived by her two sisters, Laura Lamprey of Colchester, CT and MaryLou Crocker of Henderson, NV, and two brothers, Ronald Cardoza of Weimar, CA and Manny Cardoza of Simi Valley, CA, and many nieces and nephews who she loved so very much.
Our mom was full of Love, Life, and Wisdom and touched the hearts of all who met her - she will be missed tremendously. May she rest in peace and know she is still surrounded by so much love.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, at 9:15 AM at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption, 29 South Adams Street, Manchester. Burial will follow in the East Cemetery in Manchester. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 28, from 5 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
