Dolores C. Perreault, 93, of Vernon, CT beloved wife of the late Donald H Perreault for 64 years died peacefully on Saturday, July 4th surrounded by her family. She was born July 28th, 1932, in Pawtucket, RI the daughter of the late Leo A. Lamoureux and Cephelia Y. (Doucette) Lamoureux.
She was employed as a secretary for Marblecraft for 5 years before working for Rockville Hospital for over 20 years until her retirement in 1991. Dolores was a longtime Communicant of St. Bridget Church in Manchester and was a dedicated member of the Resurrection Choir. She enjoyed bringing communion to the sick until her health prevented her from driving. She was on the Roaring Brook Bowling League in Vernon and enjoyed playing golf, painting and singing with her family and spending time at Camp Lemora in Thonotosassa, Florida. Dolores and her late husband spent many summers in Orland, Maine where they volunteered for the H.O.M.E. program which remodeled homes for the less fortunate. Dolores is survived by her son Donald Perreault of Panama City Beach, FL, her two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Ronald Irmscher of Lebanon, CT and Susan and Robert Muirhead of Manchester, CT, eight loving grandchildren; Christopher Perreault, Kelly Perreault, Eric Irmscher, Mark Irmscher, Michelle (Irmscher) Farley, Robert Muirhead, Jessica Muirhead and Eleanor (Muirhead) Szmurlo and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald Perreault, her brother and his wife, Leo and Genevieve Lamoureux and her grandson Steven Perreault.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home 400 Main Street Manchester, CT 06040. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Thursday July 9, 2026, at 10 AM directly at the St. Bridget Church 80 Main St, Manchester, CT 06042. She will be laid to rest in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Pascoag, Rhode Island.
