Diane J. Lee

Diane (Roberts) Lee, 74, of Coventry, beloved mother, grandmother and sister died peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at home. She was the loving wife of the late John R. Lee. Diane was born on January 23, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland daughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Roberts. She was raised in Manchester and attended local schools until moving to Florida where she resided in Pensacola and Panama City until moving back to Manchester in 1961. Diane was employed with SNET for over 30 years until retiring in 2003. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her delicious Christmas cookies. Diane enjoyed talking and spending time with her best friend Roz Corentin. Her true love was spending time and doing things with her two grandsons whom she loved and was very proud. Diane is survived by her two children; Michael Lee of Ashford and Suzanne Taylor and her husband Michael and their children; Jack & Ben all of Vernon, her two sisters; Gayle Barnett and her husband Frank and Robyn Ahlberg all of Florida. She leaves her aunt Barbara Sentivany of Manchester, her sisters-in-law; Sandra Rice and Cheryl Mikulitz both of South Windsor and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, Diane was predeceased by her sister Pat McKenzie and her uncle Warren Sentivany. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes Funeral Home; 400 Main St. in Manchester on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 2-5 pm. Burial will be private in Florida.
