David Wengertsman, 49, passed away unexpectantly on February 13, 2024. David was a warm, thoughtful, creative, gentle, and patient human being. He was born on November 7, 1974. He was a joy to his parents, John and Carol Wengertsman, from the start. David attended Manchester public schools as well as St. Bridget School. His artistic talents shone throughout his life. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1993 and went on to study art at Mass. College of Art in Boston, graduating in 1998. He held several jobs in Boston and New York before accepting a creative position at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boston. With this company, David moved onto L.A. to work in the Beverly Hills store, then was promoted to the store in Phoenix, and then Atlanta. He received many accolades, awards, and commendations for his work. David loved the beach, doing yoga, watching scary movies, listening to music, coffee, going to art museums and writing, but mostly he loved his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Carol & John Wengertsman, who adored him, his brothers Peter, Matt and Tim who idolized him, and by his Irish twin sister, Nancy who treasured him. He also leaves behind his nephews Anthony and Noah Grasso, and nieces Kayla and Grace Grasso, all who looked up to him. We all loved him so much. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents Mary & Stephen Swetz, and Ellen & Frank Wengertsman, and a cousin Bryan Minogue. David was a bright shining star who touched so many lives. He was a light in this world and will be sorely missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. There will be a Memorial Mass to celebrate his life at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main Street, Manchester, CT on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10AM. The service is being assisted by Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, Manchester, CT. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to your local Alcoholics Anonymous chapter.
