David Latham, 74 of Bloomfield, CT, loving husband for forty three years of Theresa (Watkins) Latham, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after an extended illness.
He was born in Robertsonville, NC on November 7, 1943, one of eleven children of the late King David Latham and the late Velma L. (Dickens) Latham Phillips. He was raised in Norfolk, VA and came to Connecticut in the early 1960's. Prior to retiring in 2005 David had been employed by the CT. Natural Gas Company for thirty one years.
With his wife, he is survived by seven children, Joel Cowell, Janoyce Gray, Jonathan Latham, David G. Latham, Senovia Stone, Latonya Latham, and Charla Latham; eight grandchildren, seven sisters, and three brothers. He was predeceased by a son, a daughter, and three sisters.
Visiting hours for family and friends are Sunday, January 28, from 4 PM to 6 PM, with the funeral service to begin at 6 PM, at the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church, 745 Main Street, Manchester. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 29, at 11:00 AM in the Buckland Cemetery, 1210 Tolland Turnpike, Manchester.
