David Peter Hughes

David Peter Hughes, 45, of Manchester, beloved husband of 17 years of Sarah K. (Dumas) Hughes and an incredibly loving father of Ethan D. Hughes and Seth J. Hughes, died peacefully, Monday September 14, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. David was born August 18, 1970 in Philadelphia, PA., son of Peter & Linda (Pollock) Hughes of Albany, NY.,. He had lived for many years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before moving to Manchester 13 years ago. He had worked as a Sales Representative for more than 13 years at Gengras Motors in East Hartford. He attended Trinity Covenant Church in Manchester where he was an active and faithful true believer. David was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed both playing and coaching soccer as well as cycling, he loved to watch Formula One auto racing, he was a talented vocalist and an amazing cook and had a great sense of humor. In addition to his wife, boys and parents, he is survived by his brother Eric Hughes and his wife Beth of Reading, MA., his sister Lisa Dellicarpini and her husband Joel of Lansdale, PA. his father-in-law, John W. Dumas and his wife Linda of Skowhegan, ME., two brothers-in-law, Keith A. Dumas and his wife Nicole of Columbia, CT and Ryan W. Dumas and his fianc Emily Fish of Hingham, MA and his lifelong best friend Mark Wall of Rockhill, SC. and numerous nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his mother-in-law Helen Dumas. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 19, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Covenant Church, 302 Hackmatack St., Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5-8 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester.
