David 'Aka Angeles' Alegre

David Alegre, 93 of East Hartford, CT, loving husband for 67 years of Irma (Hidalgo) Alegre, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mancos, Ancash, Peru on October 26, 1923, the son of Aurora Angeles and Victor Alegre, and came to the United States in 1987.
With his wife, David is survived by four children, daughters Elena and Irma Alegre, and sons Raul and Jose Alegre. He also leaves six grandchildren, Karen, Carol, Melina, Christian, David, and Joseph, and four great-grandchildren, Jalise, Stephanie, Cassandra, and Alexander.
Visiting hours are Sunday, January 29, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Funeral services are Monday, 9:00 AM at the funeral home, with a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 AM at St. Rose RC Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow in the Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford.
