Darcy Anne Colangelo, 42 of Coventry, CT, formerly of Manchester, CT, loving wife of Gianni Calvo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 2, 2018.
Darcy was born in Manchester on February 27, 1976, daughter of Barbara (Solomonson) Colangelo of Manchester and Carl Colangelo of Manchester, NH. She was raised in Manchester, CT, graduated from Manchester High School, and had been a resident of Coventry since 2001.
Darcy has been a bartender at The Pub Restaurant in South Windsor for over twelve years where she has made many friends and acquaintances. Darcy was a proud and active soccer mom and she loved her job as a skilled mixologist. She was thrifty, crafty and enjoyed trips to the casino. She cherished her time spent by her pool tanning and relaxing. She loved hosting parties for family and friends. She will be missed and loved dearly by all.
With her husband and parents, she leaves two daughters, Gianna and Sofia Calvo, both of Coventry; three sisters, Kim Colangelo and Andrea Szalaj, both of Manchester, CT, and Lyla Colangelo of Manchester, NH; her paternal grandmother, Eleanor Colangelo of Manchester, CT, her mother-in-law, Patricia Calvo of Coventry, her step-mother, Jennifer Colangelo of Manchester, NH; her nieces and nephews Patrick, Bella, Stella, Lucy, Dominic, Paul, Ryder, Marlowe, Mason, and Thomas, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visiting time for family and friends will be held Sunday, April 8, from 1PM - 3 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester with Words of Remembrance to follow at 3 PM.
