Daniel Fraher, 84, of Manchester, beloved husband of Doris (Wolfe) Fraher died peacefully, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at a local convalescent home. He was born on July 29, 1933 in Hartford son of the late John and Agnes Fraher. Daniel was a veteran of the US Army serving his country during the Korean War. He was employed for many years as a factory worker and had worked for Cheney Brothers, Manchester Modes and several other companies in the Hartford Area. He was an avid woodworker and was well known for his carvings of Whales. He and Doris enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod several times a year to go whale watching and spend time on the water. In addition to his wife Doris, Daniel is survived by his sister Dawn Richards of Florida, numerous nieces, nephews and their families. At Daniel's request funeral services and burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park are private. There are no calling hours. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
