Clifford L. Adamy, 58 of Manchester, CT, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday August 21, 2018.
Cliff was born in Manchester on March 9, 1960, son of the late Clifford F. Adamy and Joyce L. (Meyer) Adamy. He was raised in Manchester, graduated from Manchester High School with the Class of 1978, and resided in Willington for over twenty years before returning to Manchester in 2009. He started working while in high school at the former Caldors department store, and then spent several years working with JC Penney. He owned a Subway shop at Burr Corners in Manchester for fourteen years before becoming a manager for various McDonalds in the area. Cliff also filled his time working at October Kitchens in Manchester and Tool Max in Tolland.
Cliff was an avid ten pin bowler and belonged in a league at Vernon Lanes for forty years.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce L. Adamy-Wiggins and her husband Chuck Wiggins of Storrs; two brothers, Matthew Adamy, Peter Adamy and his wife Luisa and their sons John and Tyler, all of Manchester. Cliff had a long list of friends that he considered family and were dear to his heart.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 26, at 1:00 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Visiting hours are Sunday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
