Chong Im Szemplinski

January 24, 1936 — September 23, 2014

Chong Im Szemplinski, 78, formerly of Manchester wife of the late Walter D. Szemplinski, went to be with the Lord and Savior Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Chong was born in Pusan, South Korea, January 24, 1936 and resided in Manchester for most of her life. She worked for 26 years as a seamstress for Tres Bon, Vernon; Evelyn's Cleaning, South Windsor; and the former Cheney Mills, Manchester. Chong is survived by her daughter, Sue Lin and her husband, Jason Lin and their children, Alex Lin and Leah Lin of Wethersfield, two brothers and a sister in South Korea. Also surviving is her special friend, Robert Wilusz. Funeral services will Monday, September 29, 2014 at 12 pm at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester. Burial will be private in East Cemetery, Manchester. A calling hour will be Monday, prior to the service from 11 am to 12 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS Association of CT) 4 Oxford Rd. Unit D-4 Milford, CT 06460.
