Charles J. "Chuck" Cyr

Charles J. "Chuck" Cyr, 59, of Manchester beloved son of Joseph and Dorothy (LaBonte) Cyr of Fort Kent, Maine died unexpectedly at home on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was born on August 8, 1959 in Southington. He was raised in Plaisted, Maine and has been a resident of Manchester since the 1980s. Chuck was employed for over 30 years as a Tax Corrections Officer at the Department of Revenue Services for the State of Connecticut. Chuck loved spending his time with his son Nicholas at Halls Archery, working on cars, tractors, or anything with an engine and playing guitar. He and Nicholas also enjoyed vacationing in Eagle Lake, Maine. Chuck looked forward to his monthly breakfastlunch get-togethers with Gary and Renee. Many times their children were there as well. In addition to his parents, Chuck is survived by his son and best friend, Nicholas Cyr of Vernon, CT, his three siblings; Gary Cyr and his wife Michelle (Winters) Cyr of Simsbury, CT, Gregory Cyr and his partner Henry Garrad of Nineveh, IN and Renee Cyr and her partner Richard Pelletier of Oakville, CT, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester, CT on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2-4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 26 East Main St., Fort Kent, Maine. Burial will be private.
