Carol Lee Pitkin, 69, of Vernon formerly of Manchester passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Carol was born in Manchester, February 13, 1947 daughter of the late Edward and Leona (Rau) Scott and had resided in Vernon for most of her life. She graduated from Rockville High School Class of 1965 and had worked for more than 30 years for Prudential Insurance Company South Windsor. She was a member of ST. John's Episcopal Church. Carol is survived by her family, a son, Thomas M. Pitkin, a daughter, Danielle Letendre, a brother, Donald Scott, four grandchildren Caitlyn Letendre, Kyle Letendre, Christopher Letendre, Lilly Pitkin, a nephew, Bryant Scott and several aunts, uncles, cousins and her longtime fianc Robert Evans. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by a sister Carol Lynn Scott and a nephew, Brandon Scott. Memorial services will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 10 am at St. John's Episcopal Church 523 Hartford Turnpike (Rte. 30) Vernon, CT with the inurnment burial to follow in East Cemetery Manchester. Memorial calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 5-7 pm at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to CT. Humane Society 701 Russell Rd.
