Carol Lou Barnett

Carol Lou Barnett, 84, of Manchester, CT passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2023. She was born in Manchester, CT, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie (Tammany) Dietrichsen. Carol loved her family and was a true lady. Aside from enjoying her family very much, Carol loved her time spent in St. Augustine, FL with her friends. Carol is survived by her sister Marlene, and their brother Alan of Arizona; Carols children, Kevin Barnett of Marietta, GA, Donny and his wife Pam of Manchester, CT, Cheryl and her husband Bill Doll of Palm Coast, FL, Paul and his wife Sue of East Hartford, CT, Peter and his wife Doreen of Manchester, CT, and David and his wife Laura of Coventry, CT; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol also leaves behind her best friends Barbara Miller and Mary Beaulieu, her wonderful and caring aide Donna, and her beloved dog, Cuddles. Carol is predeceased by her loving husband, the late Donald Barnett. Carols family will receive relatives and friends for a Celebration of Carols Life on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT, Hospice Care, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066.
