Carl Owen Bard, 60 of Manchester, CT passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 10, 2017. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Beverly (Owens) Bard, and his older brother Robert A. Bard.
He is survived by his younger brother, Dale P. Bard of Portland, CT; the love of his life and fun partner Rena Bard; his extraordinary godson and nephew of whom he was so proud, Robert R. Bard; his goddaughter Mariah Coutoure, and his eight nieces and nephews, Alexis, Kaylee, DJ, Stephanie, Joey, Christina, Angela, and Nick.
Carl was born in Waterville, ME on February 1, 1957. He graduated from East Catholic High School in Manchester in 1975 and held various jobs throughout his life. He had a tight, close circle of friends who shared his love for music, sports, and especially concerts.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 7, at 11:00 AM in St. James Cemetery (Section F), 360 Broad Street, Manchester followed by an informal gathering.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
The Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester is assisting with arrangements.
