C. Malcolm LaFrancis, 89, of Burlington, MA, formerly of Bolton, CT beloved husband of 62 years to Margaret (Finnegan) LaFrancis passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. Malcolm was born in Hartford, CT February 14, 1927, son of the late Clarence and Cora (Morneau) LaFrancis . He was raised in Bolton residing there, until moving to South Yarmouth, MA where he lived for 30 years. He has resided in Burlington for nearly three years. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Malcolm was a sales representative for Kay Klar Toy Co. for 15 years before he owned and operated Mal LaFrancis Associates, Bedford MA, from 1968 until retiring in 1989. He was a longtime member of the Manchester Country Club, a parishioner of St. Maurice Church, Bolton and an avid gardener. In addition to his wife, Margaret, he was devoted to his surviving children, Michael J. LaFrancis and his wife, Sharon of Windsor, CT, Beth Buckingham and her husband, Forry of Gloucester, MA, Timothy LaFrancis and his wife, Judy of Acton, MA, Mark LaFrancis of Manchester, CT and five grandchildren Michael Ryan LaFrancis, Jeffrey LaFrancis, Matthew Buckingham, Meaghan LaFrancis and Kevin LaFrancis. Also surviving, a sister-in-law, Patricia (Torza) LaFrancis and many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his parents Malcolm was predeceased by his brother, Robert LaFrancis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10am at St. Maurice Church 32 Hebron Road Bolton. Everyone attending is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow with military honors in Bolton Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
