Bruce B. Burke

Bruce B. Burke, age 65 of Broad Brook, CT, beloved husband of 43 years to Paula J. (Romano) Burke, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Bruce was born in Manchester, CT on September 19, 1948, son of the late Clarence and Marie (Scarlato) Burke. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Connecticut where he received a full academic scholarship. Bruce served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement in December 2013, Bruce was employed by the Mass Mutual Insurance Company for 14 years and the Aetna Insurance Company for 26 years.

With his wife, Bruce is survived by his three children, Whitney Becker and her husband, Brian, of Manchester, CT, Brian Burke and his wife, Kelly, of South Windsor, CT, and Kyle Alexander and her husband, Marlon, of South Pasadena, CA. Along with the time he spent with his wife and children, he treasured the special moments he had with his five grandchildren, Camden and Natalie Becker and Kayden, Ethan and Ayla Burke along with his cherished dogs Rudy and Rocco. In addition, his sister Judy Wright and her husband, Richard, of Manchester, CT and many close brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, and friends mourn his loss. We
