Brent L. Cunningham
October 5, 1954 — March 28, 2017
Brent Lee Cunningham, 62 of the Leeds section of Northampton, MA, formerly of Coventry, CT, son of the late Eugene L. and Mona (Longfellow) Cunningham, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Cooley-Dickenson Hospital in Northampton after a long disability and illness.
He was born in Ridley Park, PA on October 5, 1954, was raised in Coventry, CT. He lived in Northampton Ma. for most of his life and has been a resident of the Veterans Home in Northampton for many years . He served in the US Air Force as a weather observer from 1973 to 1975, and enjoyed weather observing for the rest of his life. Brent was a welder, woodworker, horticulturist, and was president of the Resident Council for CLCVA.
He is survived by three sisters, Leslie Cunningham and her spouse Kathleen Huhtanen of Enfield, CT, Pamela Archambault and her husband Patrick of Manchester, CT, Lynne Kumnick and her husband Keith of South Windsor, CT, and a nephew and two nieces, Sean Kumnick, Lauren Kumnick, and Amy Archambault.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, 12:30 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 41 Park Street, Manchester, CT. A visiting time for family and friends at the church will be from 11:30 AM to the start of the service. Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery in Topsham, ME at a later date.
The Family would like to thank the Staff and Volunteers at the VA, Cooley Dickenson Hospital, CDH Hospice, and the Barton's Angels for giving excellent care and friendship to Brent.
