Benton W. Osgood Sr

Benton W. "Ozzie" Osgood Sr., of Vernon, husband of the late Sylvia (Accomazzo) Osgood, died Friday December 19, 2014 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born October 26, 1930 in Cleveland, OH., son of the late Harold & Velma (Hepworth) Osgood and had been a resident of Vernon since 1959. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving in the Korean War. Ozzie was a professional drummer throughout his life and had also been a wood finisher. He is survived by his son Benton W. Osgood Jr. of Vernon and his daughter Laurie Lee Osgood also of Vernon, his granddaughter Whitney K. Scott and her husband Brian of Mooresville, NC. and two great grandchildren, Brielle and Joseph Scott also of Mooresville. He also leaves his sister Joan Colby of Manchester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be in the East Cemetery in Manchester.
