Benedict M. Driscoll Jr., 78 of Manchester, formerly of East Hartford, loving husband for
thirty-two years of Joyce L. (Proulx) Driscoll, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.
Ben was born on May 25, 1938, son of the late Benedict M. and Helen (Brown) Driscoll. He was raised in East Hartford, attending local schools, served in the US Marine Corps, and had been a Manchester resident for over thirty years. Prior to retiring he had been employed in the IT department for the Sorbus Company in Wethersfield, and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
With his wife, he is survived by their daughter, Michelle Driscoll of Vernon, his brother, Allan Driscoll and his wife Eileen of East Hartford, a niece and nephew, Regan and Davitt Driscoll, and a special cousin, Ellen McCreery and her son Fred Rood of East Hartford.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering at his home in Manchester (45 Henry Street) on Friday, July 22, from 2 PM to 7 PM to share memories and stories.
