Barbara Oliver

Barbara Oliver, 77 of Bolton, CT passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Barbara was born in Manchester CT, daughter of the late Harold F. Leonard and Katherine M. Dietz. Barbara enjoyed trips to Cape Cod, Maine and New Hampshire. She loved going to church and when she was unable to go, she did church on TV. Family gatherings at home during the holidays and summer cookouts were always present at the Olivers residence. Country/Western music was a big part of her life. One of her memorable trips was the trip to the Grand Ole Opry. Barbara was an avid collector of Holiday Barbie dolls & snow babies. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years Kenneth M. Oliver. Two daughters, Diane M. Oliver of Bolton, CT; Laura A. Oliver of Manchester, CT and her companion Scott Fraleigh of Newington, CT. Three sisters, Beverly Lovell and her husband Daniel of Lehigh Acres, FL; Nancy Leonard-Gardiner and her husband Ronald of East Hartford, CT; Katherine Mrazik & her husband Alan of Southbridge, MA. Three grandchildren; Anthony Chevrette Jr & his fiance Leah Roach of Long Beach, CA; Alyssa Chevrette of Bolton CT; and Chandler Oliver & his companion Sarah Tucker of Bolton CT. Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:00 am at the funeral home, with burial to follow in St. James Cemetery, Broad Street, Manchester.
