Barbara Ora Lee, 84, longtime resident of Vernon, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at her home.
Barbara was born in Burlington, VT on February 3, 1932, one of seven daughters of the late Robert R. and Beatrice (Trayah) Lee. She was raised in Lincoln, VT and had been a resident of Vernon since the 1950's. Prior to retiring in 1993 she had been employed for over fifty years with the Travelers Insurance Company and also the Phoenix Insurance Company. Her favorite pastime was crocheting baby blankets for her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is survived by three sisters, Carol Bull of Stafford Springs, Lorraine Clark of Vergennes, VT, and Marcheryl Caine and her husband George of Manchester. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Barb very much. Barbara was predeceased by three sisters, Arlene Armell, Deanna Clark, and Roberta Thompson.
Burial in Vermont will be at the convenience of her family. There are no services or calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
