Barbara Elaine Jones (Piercy) 94 of Manchester, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully on July 22, at Bickford Health Care Center in Windsor Locks, Ct. Barbara was born in Manchester on August 12, 1929, to Martha Estelle (Clark) and Harold Piercy. She lived in Manchester most of her life and attended local schools there. She spent many years working for the Manchester School system in the High School cafeteria. After retirement she relocated to St. Petersburg Florida where she enjoyed her home and the weather for many years, always returning to Manchester to avoid Florida summers.
Barbara loved spending time with her sisters, and the many trips they took together. She also loved her time at the Foxwoods Resort, and in watching golf on television.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Donna Cram (Thompson) and husband Peter of Weare, New Hampshire, her daughter Laura Woodland (Jones) of Bedford, New Hampshire, her son Robert J. Jones and wife Molly of Cabot, Vermont, and her son David Thompson and wife Georgette of Manchester, Ct. She was a loving grandmother to Lauren Smith (Cram) and husband Sam of Gorham, Maine, Aleah Manzi (Cram) and husband Michael of Boxford, Mass, Danielle Wagner of Manchester, New Hampshire, Thomas Jones of DuPont, Washington, Bethany Thompson and husband Robbie Mulcahy of Manchester Ct. and Joseph Thompson of Manchester Ct. She was a loving great grandmother to Miller and Reggi Smith, and Max and Anthony Manzi. She is also survived by her beloved sister Mildred Kos of Manchester Ct. along with 26 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Thompson (2016) and her second husband Robert J Jones (2000), her son Gary Thompson (2011), her mother and stepfather Martha and George McCollum, her father Harold Piercy, and 6 of her 7 sisters, Leone Matteson, Alice Tompkins, Margaret Mayer, Eleanor Bolduc, Patricia Dougela and Janet Wilder.
