Arthur C. Petrone, Sr

Arthur C. Petrone Sr. 95, of Morrisville, VT., formerly of Manchester, CT., beloved husband of the late Helen (Kenny) Petrone passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2017 with his daughter Eileen at his side. Art was born on July 16, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Gaetano and Maria Petrone and had been a resident of Manchester for over 60 years. He was a proud veteran of WW II serving his country in the US Army Air Corps. Prior to his retirement Art was employed for over 43 years with I.B.M retiring as the Northeast Planning Rep. He was a longtime Communicant of St. Bartholomew Church in Manchester. He is survived by his three sons: Arthur C. Petrone Jr. and his wife Kim of Norwalk, CT., Michael Petrone and his wife Judith of Virginia Beach, VA and Dr. William F. Petrone of Hampton, NH, his two loving daughters; Eileen P. Paus and her husband Greg of Hyde Park, VT and Margaret P. LaBarre and her husband Don of West Hartford, CT. Art also leaves his 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents Art was predeceased by his two siblings; Louie Petrone and Anna Rosalie. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. Manchester from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew Church, 45 Ludlow Road, Manchester on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00 am. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church.
