Arlene M. Lawrence, 83, of Manchester, CT, beloved wife of 66 years to Richard E. Lawrence passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She lived her entire life in Manchester. Arlene graduated from Manchester High School and was a majorette in the marching band. Once all her children began attending school she went to work at CJ's Giant Grinder & Pizza for 7 years. She later became a bank teller for 27 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Martha and Clifford Hills and her infant son, Mark, and her beloved pets. Arlene is survived by her loving husband Richard, her 3 children, Doreen of Coventry, Richard and his wife Rhoda of Bolton, and Brian and his wife Lynn of Vernon; brother, Robert Hills of Greenville, Maine, grandchildren, Justin, Travis and his wife Stacey, Matthew and his wife Kate, Megan, Brian, Brittney, Krista and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren Zachary, Winslow, Charlotte, Diana, Liliana, Taylor, Faye and Jesse whom she cherished immensely each in their own special way. The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to Arlene's wonderful friends at the Mary Cheney Library for fulfilling her passion to solve cozy mysteries all over the world through their books. Arlene was a long-time parishioner of St. Bridget Church. By Arlene's request there will be no services. There will be a private family burial at St Bernard's Cemetery in Rockville.
