Ann (Batchelor) Massengill, 85, formerly of Vernon, CT, loving wife of the late Richard Massengill, died peacefully Saturday, December 9, 2017 at an area convalescent home after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Ann was born in Hartford, CT on July 9, 1932, daughter of Deardon Batchelor, Sr and Mary (McLaughlin) Neales. She was raised in East Hartford and graduated from East Hartford High School. Prior to retiring she had been employed at the Phoenix Life Insurance Company in Hartford for many years. Ann most enjoyed her family and close circle of friends, needlework in idle moments and her piano.
She is survived by three sons, Larss Ogren of Rocky Hill, CT, Eric Ogren of Saunderstown, RI, and Christopher Ogren of Mansfield, CT, four grandsons Larss, Sean, Eric Jr, and Jonathan, and two sisters Doris Livingstone of East Hampton, CT and Patricia McCabe of South Windsor, CT.
The family would like to thank the Evergreen Health Care Center in Stafford Springs and Brookdale in South Windsor for all of their care and concern.
