Angela (Lettieri) Lemire, 84, of Tolland, formerly of Vernon & Hartford, loving companion for over 20 years of the late Walter Brown, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 surrounded by her beloved family. Angela was born on May 17, 1934 in Hartford the only child of the late Andrew and Josephine (Goggin) Lettieri. She was raised in Hartford, attended local schools and had been a resident of Tolland since 1968. Prior to her retirement in 2012, she was employed for over 33 years as an administrative assistant for Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester. Angela's favorite activity was talking with people, which she did everywhere she went: doctor's offices, the hair salon, the casino. She listened to people and remembered what they shared with her, asking for updates the next time she saw them. Her caring and genuine nature was appreciated by many. She is survived by her four children; Kathy Jo Winters of Tolland, Al Lemire and his wife Gina of Monson. MA, Matthew Lemire and his wife Lisa of Ellington and Jason Lemire and his wife Patty of Stafford, her four adored grandchildren; Nicole Elisabeth Cuillo and her husband Daniel, Andrew Daniel Winters, Brittany Marie Lemire and Madison Ann Lemire and her two-great grandchildren; Carmella Audrey Cuillo and Cameron Walter Cuillo. In addition to Walter and her parents, Angela was predeceased by her former husband Alfred Lemire and her special cousins: Jack and Winnie and David and Audrey Gormley. The family would like to thank the entire staff from Caregiving by Kathy, and especially her personal caregiver, Valerie, for the loving care provided during Angela's final days. Also, her family would like to recognize her special friends at White Oaks in Manchester. Calling hours will be at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St. in Manchester on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 am with a service to begin at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Tolland.
