Alice E. (Robinson) Perley, 93 of Manchester, former longtime resident of Glastonbury, died peacefully at her home Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was born in Walton, NY. She was predeceased by her brothers Herbert and James Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richmond Perley, her three children, Betsy Preble and her husband Reginald of Manchester, Christopher Perley and his wife Victoria of Tewksbury, MA, and Susan Brenton and her husband Kenneth of Manchester, as well as five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She served in the Navy during World War II. Alice was a caring, loving wife and mother, and a great homemaker, cook, gardener, and artist. She was always willing to help others. She enjoyed travelling, playing bridge, garden club, painting, and socializing with her friends and family. All arrangements are private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester has care of arrangements.
