Alice M. (Renshaw) Ferrara, 76 of Stafford Springs, formerly of Hartford and Manchester, wife of the late Joseph Ferrara, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Alice was born May 7, 1940 in New Britain, daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret M. (Murphy) Renshaw. She lived in Hartford most of her life before moving to Manchester in 1988 and then recently to Stafford Springs. She enjoyed caring for her family, and the times spent with her grandchildren. She was also, an avid bingo player. Alice is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Victoria Fox and her husband, Jason of South Windsor, Michelle Ferrara of Hartford, four sons, Timothy Woodworth and his wife, Beverly of Plainville, Joseph Ferrara, Luz Salcedo of Coventry, Richard Ferrara of Coventry, Frederick Ferrara and his wife, Coral of Thomaston, a sister-in-law, Anna Renshaw, seven grandchildren, Zachary, Samantha, Amanda, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Curt, three great-grandchildren, a nephew, several nieces and their families. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, Fred Renshaw. A graveside funeral service will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 am at Holy Cross Cemetery 1318 Hebron Avenue Glastonbury, CT 06033. There are no calling hours.
