Alfred Constantino Jr., 77, beloved husband for fifty-six years of Dorothy (Yetz) Constantino, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Hartford Hospital.
Al was born in Cambridge, MA on October 14, 1937, son of the late Alfre3d and Thelma (Smith) Constantino. He attended Cambridge schools, enlisted in the US Air Force, and served proudly during the Korean War. After his service he was employed by the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Company, working in the Wilgoose Lab testing engines. In 1970 he went to work for the Town of Manchester Fire Department and retired in 1990.
Al loved fishing and hunting with his son David, and boating on the Connecticut River with his family. He had a passion for boating and restoring old outboard motors, he was a great mechanic.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Diane Tyler and her husband Tom of Coventry, and his son David Constantino and his wife Darcy of Coventry; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Emily Constantino; two brothers and two sisters, Paul of Port St. Lucie, FL, Philip of Wayland, MA, Judy Costa Fontana and Gale Fontana, both of Plymouth, MA, and several nieces and nephews. Al's family would like to thank all the staff at Hartford Hospital for their compassion and care.
