Alexandra L Preston

It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of Alexandra Learned Preston on October 28, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a resident of Georgetown. Mrs. Preston was born in 1941, the daughter of Horace Bushnell Learned and Eileen Marie Roff Learned. She was predeceased by her husband, John Elwood Preston and is survived by her sister, Hope Cheney Learned Colt; nephews, Harris Learned Colt and Ward Strickland Colt; and nieces, Christina Likness and Alicia Preston. Alexandra Preston was a graduate of Smith College and worked for Senators Thomas Kuchel and Mark Hatfield. A private family burial will be held in Manchester, Connecticut. There will be a memorial service on December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at The Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
