Alexander Kolominsky

Alexander Kolominsky, 35, of Long Island City, NY, formerly of Manchester, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 28, 2015 in New York from injuries received in an accident.
Alex was born in Zhitomir, Ukraine on October 5, 1979, son of Boris and Emily (Press) Kolominsky of Manchester. He came to Manchester in 1991 and attended Manchester schools. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University and graduated with Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. Alex had been a resident of New York for the past eleven years and had been currently employed with Millenium Management LLC, previously working for Morgan Stanley in New York and a short time in Montreal.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Alina and Matthew Conway and their children of Andover, his maternal grandmother Lyudmila Press of West Hartford, his paternal grandfather Joseph Kolominsky of Manchester, and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 4, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will be private in the East Cemetery in Manchester. Memorial contributions may be made to the Manchester Scholarship Foundation (memo-Alex K.), 20 Hartford Road, Manchester, CT 06040.
